Tzvika Friedman – CEO and President
Mr. Tzvika Friedman was appointed Alvarion’s Chief Executive Officer in October 2005. Beginning in 2000 with Floware and continuing in Alvarion as President and Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Friedman has been responsible for a myriad of facets in the company's daily management, including R&D, operations, sales, marketing and customer service. He has been the driving force behind augmenting these activities in a company undergoing transition of consolidation from two companies, and subsequent acquisitions and incorporations of product lines of Innowave and Interwave. In the previous years, he filled roles as Corporate Vice President and General Manager of the Next Generation Telephony and DCME division of ECI Telecom and as Vice President of Marketing and Sales of ECI Telecom's SDH division. Mr. Friedman served as a director in the company from July 2005 to August 2008. Mr. Friedman decided to give up his board seat due to the challenges of dealing with the disparity between the requirements of Israeli law and the voting practices in the United States, where most of the company’s shares are held. Mr. Friedman’s resignation from the Alvarion board of directors is effective August 15, 2008. Mr. Friedman earned a bachelors and masters of science in electrical engineering summa cum laude from Tel Aviv University and also graduated with distinction with a masters in science from the Sloan Program of Management from the London Business School.
Efrat Makov- Chief Financial Officer
Ms. Efrat Makov joined Alvarion in April 2007 as the Chief Financial Officer. Ms. Makov has extensive management experience with Israeli-based NASDAQ-listed companies. Her most recent position, as Chief Financial Officer at Aladdin Knowledge Systems Ltd., included managing the finance, operations, information systems and human resource functions. Prior to that Ms. Makov served as Vice President of Finance at Check Point Software Technologies Ltd., and Director of Finance for NUR Macroprinters Ltd. Ms. Makov also spent seven years in public accounting with Arthur Andersen in New York, London and Tel Aviv. Ms. Makov is a Certified Public Accountant in both Israel and the United States and holds a BA in Accounting and Economics from Tel Aviv University.

Dr. Mohammad Shakouri - Corporate Vice President, Innovation and Marketing and Vice President, WiMAX Forum
Dr. Shakouri serves in the executive management team of Alvarion Ltd in the position of Corporate Vice President, Innovation and Marketing. In addition, Dr. Shakouri serves in a prominent industry role as a Vice President of WiMAX Forum and is also a member of WiMAX Forum board of directors. Dr. Shakouri is regarded as a visionary in WiMAX industry where he has been instrumental in growing WiMAX into a multi billion dollar industry. Considered to be the leading voice for the WiMAX industry, Dr. Shakouri’s diligent efforts have created a global reach for WiMAX Forum with regional presence in many countries. Prior to joining Alvarion, Dr. Shakouri was with Lucent Technologies where he was responsible for managing, building and developing network solutions for European and South American broadband wireless markets. Before joining Lucent, Dr. Shakouri spent fourteen years in technical and management positions with Hewlett Packard developing microwave and fiber optic communication components and systems. He co-founded the wireless systems division, where he was responsible for the engineering team developing low-cost residential digital wireless systems for U.S. and Asian markets. Dr. Shakouri earned his doctorate in electrical engineering from Stanford University on Subpicosecond GaAs Wafer Probe Systems. In addition to his industry leadership position with the WiMAX Forum, Dr. Shakouri is also on the advisory board for the Wireless Communication Alliance and is an IEEE MTT-SVC 2004 chairman.

Rudy Leser - Corporate Vice President Strategic Initiatives
Mr. Rudy Leser has been a member of Alvarion’s executive management team since 2000, beginning with Floware and continuing in Alvarion. In August 2008 Mr. Leser was appointed Corporate Vice President Strategic Initiatives , to further create and position Alvarion into new major Strategic developments .He previously served as Alvarion’s Corporate Vice President of Strategy and Marketing and was responsible for many activities within the company including overall business strategy, product line management, product marketing, strategic marketing, partnerships and marketing communications. Mr. Leser lead the development and implementation of key business and go-to-market strategies for Alvarion while establishing and executing the company’s product vision and direction, acting as a catalyst for internal changes and business initiatives. Under Mr. Leser’s direction, Alvarion gained market leadership within the WiMAX industry with a continuous market share of over 30%. Mr. Leser is regarded as a visionary within Alvarion and in WiMAX marketplace and was instrumental as one of the most proactive people contributing to the creation of the WiMAX industry worldwide.
Prior to Alvarion , Mr. Leser was a prominent leader in the early development of the broadband industry and held a significant roles in the telecommunication industry serving in several managerial positions in telecom companies such as Metalink Broadband Access Ltd.
Mr. Leser holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Aerospace Engineering from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology.

Amir Tirosh - Corporate Vice President, Strategy and Corporate Development
Amir Tirosh joined the Alvarion management team in January 2007 as Corporate VP of Strategy and Corporate Development, bringing with him over 10 years of impressive experience in management and business development. Before joining Alvarion, Mr. Tirosh worked in M-Systems (NASDAQ: FLSH), which was acquired by SanDisk (NASDAQ: SNDK) in November 2006 for $1.6 Billion, as the Corporate Vice President and General Manager of the Embedded Business Unit, and as the Corporate Vice President of Corporate Business Development, leading all M&A, investment and strategic agreements of the company. Prior to M-Systems, Mr. Tirosh served as the Director of Corporate Business Development at Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd., the world's largest generic drug company, where he managed the process of new business opportunities, focusing mainly on M&A and joint ventures. Mr. Tirosh holds a B.Sc. degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, and an MBA from Tel Aviv University.

Avinoam Barak, President, Broadband Wireless Access Division
Avinoam Barak joined Alvarion in November 2005 as President of the BWA (Broadband Wireless Access) Division. Mr. Barak brings to Alvarion vast managerial and telecom experience accumulated during his tenure of 5 years at RADVISION as (RVSN) General Manager of the Networking Business Unit. Prior to joining RADVISION, he served as a communication systems business unit manager at MLM, a division of Israel Aircraft Industries, as well as various senior engineering and project management positions. Mr. Barak earned a bachelors of science in computer engineering from the Technion Israel Institute for Technology, an MBA in information systems and finance from Bar Ilan University, and attended Stanford Executive Program’s (SEP 2004) Advanced Management Program.
Avi Wellingstein, President, Customer Business Division
Avi Wellingstein has recently joined Alvarion as President of the Customer Business Division, bringing to the company years of extensive managerial experience earned while at Comverse. Immediately prior to coming to Alvarion, he led the Comverse InSight Open Services Environment group as vice president and chief commercial officer, responsible for its worldwide business. His previous positions at Comverse included corporate VP and chief procurement officer, a position in which he was in charge of $300M annual expenditures and led the company’s cost trimming campaign and prior to that, managing director of APAC. Before joining Comverse, Mr. Wellingstein fulfilled the role of vice president of sales and marketing of Orbotech Pacific where he led the sales of optical inspection equipment for the printed circuit board industry and LCD manufacturers in the Far East. Mr. Wellingstein earned a bachelors of science in engineering and an MBA in information technology and marketing from Tel-Aviv University.

Greg Daily, President, Alvarion, Inc.
Greg Daily joined Alvarion, Inc., its North American subsidiary, in January 2006 and was named President in August 2006. Mr. Daily brings to Alvarion an 18-year track record, leading venture-backed private companies in general management and executive sales roles. He was most recently President and CEO of Pedestal Networks, a developer of innovative universal broadband solutions. Prior to Pedestal he worked for ten years at ADC Telecommunications, serving in various positions including General Manager of their $200 million Loop Transport Products division, General Manager of its Optical Networking Group, Group Vice-President of North American Sales and other sales management positions. Mr. Daily holds both Master and Bachelor of Science degrees in engineering management and electrical engineering from the University of Missouri at Rolla and is a graduate of the executive development program at the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
Avi Mazaltov – President, Operations and Infrastructure Division
Mr. Avi Mazaltov joined the company as Vice President of Operations in June 2002 and was recently appointed as President of the Operations and Infrastructure Division. Prior to coming to Alvarion, he held several positions at Teva Pharmaceuticals, including pharmaceuticals plant manager and solid dosage global operations director. Mr. Mazaltov is credited with the smooth consolidation of the operations divisions from the former Floware, BreezeCom and Innowave companies into one unified and efficient unit. Other significant agenda items of Mr. Mazaltov’s have included the pursuance of excellence in all stages of operations, while approaching each stage with a business orientation. Mr. Mazaltov earned a bachelors of science with honors in industrial engineering and management from Ben-Gurion University.

Haim Srur – Corporate Vice President, Human Resources
Since December 2000, Haim Srur has led the Human Resources Department as Vice President throughout the merger of the two companies into Alvarion, and subsequent acquisitions of Innowave and Interwave. In this role, Mr. Srur has concentrated on creating the Alvarion identity as a leader, developing the internal structure that best encourages personal development and growth, and focusing on employee retention. Today, at a level of over 1000 employees worldwide, Mr. Srur is proud of the company’s high level of internal promotion and mobility. Previous to Alvarion, he held the position of HR Director of R&D and Operations Division at Teva Pharmaceutical Industries, and prior to that position, he worked an independent consultant in human resources and organizational management to start-up companies. Mr. Srur holds a masters degree in organizational sociology from Bar-Ilan University, Israel.
