Technical Support Engineer

Location: Maryland, USA
Description Alvarion provides 24/7 technical support to customers. This position requires an experienced engineer to provide technical support for wireless communications equipment based on complex, technical systems using state-of-the-art wireless communications technologies, including Wi-Fi and WiMAX. It covers general technology support services for major accounts, in a timely manner and according to company guidelines.
Requirements
- Experience in a telecommunications or data communications company, in service-oriented positions
- Excellent sense of customer service and problem solving
- Understanding of radio systems, antennas, measurement equipment for computers and radio systems
- Knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals (mandatory)
- Certification by known communications companies, such as Cisco, Juniper, etc. (advantageous)
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively by telephone in a patient and courteous manner
Education B.Sc. In Networking, Electronics or Software, or related/equivalent field experience
