InnoWave and RadWin Sign OEM Agreement for Broadband Wireless Access Solution
PETAH TIKVA, ISRAEL, June 25 2001
InnoWave ECI Wireless Systems Ltd, a global leader of Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) solutions and a member of the ECI Telecom Group (NASDAQ/NM symbol: ECIL) and RadWin Ltd, a provider of an advanced point-to-multipoint Broadband Wireless Access (BWA) solution, announced today the signing of an Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) agreement.
According to the five-year agreement, InnoWave will market and sell the WinAir™, RadWin's Broadband Wireless Access (BWA) solution. InnoWave will become a licensed manufacturer of the product after a period of 18 months. "The WinAir™ advanced solution further enhances our FWA portfolio," asserts Hezi Lapid, InnoWave president and CEO. "The agreement will enable InnoWave to offer our customers a wider range of solutions, strengthening our market position in the business segment and will complement our strategy to maintain our position as a leading global supplier of FWA solutions."
RadWin's WinAir™ solution is the first among next-generation solutions to provide innovative means to deploy broadband access networks. Based on advanced W-CDMA, WinAir™ offers superior capacity in multicell deployments and wider coverage, enabling to support customers in Non-Line-of-Sight conditions. It is specifically designed to meet the evolving needs for converged voice and data services by providing a hybrid IP/Circuit platform, thus enabling to supply business and high end residential customers with a full portfolio of services. WinAir™ enables a cost-effective deployment that offers increased revenue streams and market share, while minimizing capital investment.
