NEXTRA Wireless Selects Floware's WALKair System for Deployment in the Czech Republic



Or Yehuda, Israel, March 1, 2001 ­ Floware Wireless Systems Ltd. (NASDAQ: FLRE), a leading provider of broadband wireless access (BWA) communication systems, today disclosed that NEXTRA Wireless Ltd. selected Floware as BWA supplier during the fourth quarter of 2000. NEXTRA Wireless will be using Floware's WALKair BWA system for commercial deployment in the 26GHz frequency band in the Czech Republic. This is Floware's second selection as a BWA supplier in the Czech Republic. >br>
NEXTRA Wireless is one of three operators that were awarded a license for the 26GHz frequency in the Czech Republic in September 2000. It will use the WALKair system as one of two selected technologies to offer "last mile" access infrastructure to Internet service providers and alternative telecommunication operators. Following a successful pilot project, NEXTRA Wireless has started commercial operations in the nine largest cities of the Czech Republic. By the end of 2001, NEXTRA Wireless intends to offer services in all towns and cities in the Czech Republic with more than 50,000 inhabitants. "We are pleased to be selected by Nextra Wireless," said Amnon Yacoby, CEO of Floware. "This is our second win in the Czech Republic, that follows the selection by Ceske Radiokomunikace. These two wins give us significant market share in this important country."
